Several years ago, a small find of complete 1971 Topps Football Unopened Series 1 Cello Boxes was discovered. BBCE has handled the sale of the first four of these boxes and is now presenting the final, fifth box. This is the last box to be offered from this find, with no more remaining. Prior to the discovery of these boxes in someone's basement, a full cello box of 1971 football cards was something most collectors had never seen.
The box contains 24 unopened cello packs, each securely placed in its own little cardboard box. Series 1 features a wealth of Hall of Famers, including Unitas, Alworth, Maynard, Butkus, Blanda, Csonka, Page, Tarkenton, and many others. This series also includes the rookie Hall of Fame cards of Ken Houston and Willie Lanier. Additionally, this box is loaded with star players visible on the top and bottom of the packs.
