The earliest form of FASC equivalents, wax pack trays were issued directly from Topps to the grocery retailer and contain packs that have not been handled since their original packaging. Although produced across all 4 sports intermittently throughout the sixties and seventies, basketball trays were amongst the least printed, resulting in their extreme scarcity today. This 50 year old example from 1974 has been authenticated by BBCE and contains 3 untouched wax packs in this very desirable tray packaging, with the further provenance of a 43 cent grocery sticker waiting for the consumer of yesteryear.
