In 1974, Topps introduced two different packaging options for their baseball card set. One version was a 15-cent pack containing 10 cards, while the other was a 10-cent pack with 7 cards. Imagine that—a company offering two different "price points" for collectors, with just a 5-cent difference! How times have changed. This lot is the 36 count 10 cent version box.

Interestingly, the 15-cent packs came in boxes of 24 packs, while the 10-cent packs were packed 36 per box. This meant that both box types contained nearly the same number of cards—240 for the 15-cent box versus 252 for the 10-cent box.

The 1974 Topps baseball set is well-loved by collectors, featuring the rookie card of Dave Winfield and the second-year card of Mike Schmidt, alongside many other Hall of Famers. Although it might seem otherwise, this box isn’t as easy to find as you’d expect, making it a perennial favorite among unopened collectors.
