The consignor who submitted these raw cards for auction also included the Carew rookie in the previous lot—both part of the same group of 1967 Topps High Numbers. It makes perfect sense, as this card is just as clean and sharp as the Carew, and is off-center by nearly the same margins. Another tough card from the popular 1967 Topps High Number series, this one remains undervalued in our opinion—especially when compared to the 1968 Topps rookie card of Nolan Ryan. While Ryan is arguably one of the most highly collected players of the past several decades, Seaver is every bit as important a Hall of Famer. Yet, the Ryan rookie is significantly easier to find than the more elusive 1967 High Number Seaver.
